I am the mother of Soror Crystal Shelton. I am very proud of her, of course, but also of all that you all have accomplished this year. I trust that your commitment to the community continues after Crystal leaves your chapter, and that you continue to carry out your works of service in a manner that positively reflects upon your position as Queens. May God bless and keep you. May His light shine upon you, and give you peace, now and forever. Amen

It does my heart good to see that the charter line's legacy lives on so beautifully in you. I was Basileus of the charter line for Mu Episilon, and now live in Raleigh, NC. A funny story --- One of our elderly graduate sponsors (R.I.P.) dismissed me as being "smart" for calling myself an Ivy when we were only considered an Interest Group at the time in 1978. I finally convinced her that Ivy was actually my REAL name! Congratulations on over 30 years of existence at Christian Brothers. You have a lovely website and I am sure your members are equally beautiful, smart and accomplished young women.
Regards,
Ivy Jones - Adderley

I am delighted to see that the Chapter continues to survive with such lovely ladies representing us on the CBU campus. I, like Soror Ivy Jones-Adderley was a charter member. I remember those days and our line very well. I would like to be able to reach some of them so if anyone visiting this site would like to e-mail me with any contact information, it would be greatly appreciated. Also you should have a picture of us on the website. If you would like one, I could probably scan and e-mail it. The quality may not be so great, however, you would have it as an addition.

Thank you all for your comments and I would also love to thank our Most Elegant Alumni, Soror Auta, for creating and maintaining this PEARLfect tribute to Mu Epsilon. Her love for M.E. clearly goes far beyond her undergraduate years.
To Soror Sheila and Soror Ivy, we are so excited to hear from you all! We hope we're making you proud! We would love to have you home this year for our Charter Day Celebration!

Deidra as always you are so sweet. It has been my pleasure to serve as Asst. GA and webmaster. You all are doing a wonderful job and truly inspire me. As a Mu Epsilon Initiate (Spring 1996) it touches my heart to see the chapter committing itself to the goals of AKA and providing "Service to All Mankind". Many times we forget what this great sisterhood is about but M.E. has done an exceptional job of not only portraying those qualities that make our sisterhood so wonderful and dear but also setting an example and leading the way for those to come.
Love you all and looking forward to working with the chapter for many more years to come.

My message is addressing Leticia Boyd's (ME - Fall 2008) A Mother's Promise. Her story has served as encouragement to me because I am a mother. Just hearing her testimony confirmed what I'm already working on and that's getting my bachelor's degree. I must say that I was a little discouraged when I learned I was pregnant 26 months ago, but I soon realized that I could and would finish school and receive my bachelor's degree. I didn't get to do everything that I hoped to do the past few semesters, but today is a new day. Now I'm a senior and I'm ready to close out my undergrad experience with no regrets. I hope to be an encouragement to other young women someday and I know I will! I've enjoyed your page! It's very inspirational!
