Requirements for Membership Consideration:
- Have a cumulative 2.75 GPA and current (spring semester) 2.5 GPA
- Be a full time student during the present and prior term
- Bring an official sealed transcript, embossed with university seal
- Include Student Verification Form indicating dates of enrollment and hours for Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 w/sealed transcript
- Bring a letter of interest
- Bring completed Undergraduate Membership Interest Application
- Bring two Letters of Reference
- Bring one or more completed Evidence of Community/Campus Involvement Forms
- Contact Graduate Advisors: Ms. Auta Boykins at (901)412-0088 for Undergraduate Membership Interest Form, Legacy Information, Evidence of Community/Campus Involvement Forms, Applicants Pre-Rush Instruction Checklist and General Information for the Collegian brochure.

- Attend Rush
A full time student is defined as any student who is registered for 12 hours or more of credit.
The purpose of Alpha Kappa Alpha is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve social stature, to maintain a progressive interest in college life, and to be of service to all mankind.
